Introvert

Introvert

If you really knew me you would know that I don’t choose to be a loner. My parents have always stressed on me not to have any friends. I’ve now adjusted to that lifestyle, but I’m not happy with it.

  1. I can relate to how parents want to dictate a child’s life. I get through it knowing that my parents are trying to do what they think is est for me. And I think you should try to make friends in school. Or anywhere you go. I didn’t spend that much time outside of school with my friends, but at least I hung out with people during school. When I got into college, I made more of an effort to start volunteering. I would tell my family that this would look great on my resume, etc, but really, I did it for the healthy environment.

  2. This applies to me completely. Growing up, the concept of having friends was looked down upon because “nothing will help you except family”…however thats not always the case. In my situation, once I came to college I knew friends were needed. The going gets rough – because thats when life really hits you hard, and you need a support system. Your family cannot always be there for you. I would suggest branching out and trying to make friends – you will not regret it 🙂
