I need Du’a from my fellow Muslim brothers and sisters

Salam Alaykum, I massively need Du’a from my fellow brothers and sisters. I’ve been trying to abstain from porn for almost a year now but I always find myself falling back. I pray my five daily prayers and I always seek Allah’s help. The longest streak I was able to achieve was 21 days and from then I’ve been finding it hard to reach 2 weeks. I’m a 21-year-old male. I feel like I’m being hypocritical because the person I am when I go out to meet other people is a totally different person from who I am when I’m alone. I need your Du’a.

  1. Asalamu Alaykum! I pray that Allah make this easy for you. I have talked to many people who have struggled with this and the best thing to do might be to try a few options. I definitely can tell from your post MashaAllah that you have been making lots of progress and may Allah reward you for all of your effort, it’s a HUGE step in the right direction. Some things you can try is keep yourself busy and not allow yourself to be tempted too much. This won’t help all the time but by keeping yourself busy you can limit how much access you have. If there is someone you trust who you can confined in to help keep you accountable that can be great also! Most importantly, look at all of your that you have achieved and your effort. Your efforts will not go unnoticed. Lastly remember that getting closer to our creator (via dua, thikr, Quran) will always bring out the best results.

    Peace and Love!

  2. My brother all it is, is strength. And you now you have it, these thoughts will always cross your mind until you understand how to control them, which you can! All I’m hearing is progression from slowly leaning off it fully. This is marathon not a sprint. Any progress you make is good and you should acknowledge it because you did it! You can do this brother!
